Where do you want to go beyond your PPL?
Add the ratings that turn a certificate into real capability — flown in real conditions, with insurance-accepted type training in the aircraft you actually fly.
Instrument Rating
Without a doubt the hardest rating to acquire — and the one that makes you a truly capable pilot. Training is flown almost entirely on instruments, with some time in a desktop procedures trainer. Includes ground school, flight training, and the checkride.
40 hrs regulated · 10 days or less if your written is done
Commercial Rating
Just plain fun. This rating is all about precision stick-and-rudder flying. You'll need 250 total hours (100 PIC) and 50 hours cross-country. Includes written prep, flight training, and the checkride.
250 hrs total · 100 PIC · 50 XC
Multi-Engine Rating
Learn to operate twin-engine aircraft. A VFR-only rating takes roughly 10 hours; adding instrument privileges takes closer to 20. No written exam — just flight training and the checkride. A 5-hour ground school is available.
VFR ~10 hrs · IFR ~20 hrs
